Meet Heather

Heather Wallace is a educator and community advocate running for the Texas House of Representatives because she believes government should serve people—not politics.

Heather has spent most of her career in the classroom, working directly with students and families and seeing firsthand how decisions made in Austin affect real lives. She understands the challenges facing Texas schools, parents, and teachers because she lives them. From overcrowded classrooms to unfunded mandates, Heather knows that one-size-fits-all policies don’t work for local communities—especially in the Panhandle. She holds a Master of Arts in Humanities and is near completion of a second Master of Arts in History.

Heather is running to bring practical experience, common sense, and accountability back to state government. She believes parents should have a strong voice in their children’s education, teachers deserve respect and support, and students should be prepared for life, work, and citizenship—not political agendas; however, she refuses to let her classroom become a political pawn.

Beyond education, Heather is a strong advocate for individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, and local control. She supports protecting constitutional freedoms, strengthening infrastructure and water security in the Panhandle, and ensuring rural communities are not ignored by Austin insiders. Heather believes Texas thrives when decisions are made close to home and guided by the values of hard work, responsibility, and service. She is a true supporter of military veterans and has served as a champion for their causes.

Heather Wallace isn’t a career politician. She’s a problem solver who listens first, tells the truth, and puts people over party. She is running to be a voice for families, educators, and communities who feel unheard—and to help ensure Texas remains a place where freedom, opportunity, and local values endure for generations. Bridging generational gaps serves as a reminder that we need both the past and the future to maximize our potential.

Our Voice. Our Liberty. Our Texas.

Issues

  • Texas works best when leaders listen before they legislate.

But too often, people here feel like decisions are already made by the time anyone asks what we think.

Our voice means rural towns matter just as much as big cities.

It means parents are respected.

It means teachers are treated as partners.

It means business owners, farmers, and first responders don’t have to fight to be heard.

I believe representation isn’t about titles or committees — it’s about accountability.

Leadership means showing up, listening carefully, and carrying your community’s concerns with you into every vote.

That’s what our voice looks like — steady, informed, and rooted right here.

  • Liberty isn’t a slogan.
It’s the freedom to work hard and keep more of what you earn.
It’s the freedom to raise your family according to your values.
It’s the freedom to run a business, farm your land, and plan for the future without constantly wondering what Austin will do next.

Right now, too many families feel like liberty is slipping — not because they don’t work hard, but because costs keep rising and decisions keep moving farther away.

    Property taxes keep climbing.

    Rural communities feel stretched thin.

And basic things we should be able to count on — like reliable infrastructure and stable schools — feel less certain than they should.

Liberty only works when government remembers its role:
to serve the people — not manage them.

Liberty starts with families and with community. The joining of voices for common goals.

  • Our Texas is strong — not because it’s loud, but because it’s grounded.

It’s a Texas that values hard work, responsibility, and common sense.

A Texas that solves problems instead of picking fights.

A Texas that understands rural communities don’t need special treatment — they need fair treatment.

Our Texas invests in strong local schools without turning classrooms into political battlegrounds.

It protects liberty without losing compassion.

It grows the economy without forgetting the people who make that growth possible.

Most of all, our Texas remembers that leadership is stewardship — of our resources, our institutions, and our future.

Our Texas gives a voice to every seat at the table.

In every voice a spark and in unity a rising flame.

  • I’m running because I believe District 88 deserves leadership that’s focused on results people can feel — not just policies people hear about.

I respect anyone who serves. But after years of the same conversations, it’s fair to ask:

    Are families better off?

    Are rural schools stronger?

    Are communities more secure?

If the answers aren’t clear, then it’s time for a new approach — one grounded in listening, accountability, and local priorities.

This election isn’t about tearing anyone down.
It’s about choosing the direction we want the next ten years to take. Do we keep doing things the same way — or do we recommit to leadership that puts communities first?

I believe Texans are ready for leadership that’s calm, focused, and serious about results.

Leadership that understands liberty is strongest when people feel heard.

So let me end where I began.

Our Voice — heard clearly and carried faithfully.

Our Liberty — protected through responsibility and restraint.

Our Texas — strong, practical, and united.

If you believe Texas works best when decisions are made close to home…
If you believe leadership should listen first and act with purpose…
Then I would be honored to earn your trust and your support.
